BikeErg

$1,100.00

The Concept2 BikeErg uses the same air-resistance flywheel as the RowErg and SkiErg, with a damper that works like gearing to change how the ride feels. A clutch lets the flywheel keep spinning when you stop pedaling, so coasting behaves as it does on a real bike rather than stopping dead.

The PM5 performance monitor is included, with a device mount for a phone or tablet. It connects to Concept2’s free ErgData app and online logbook, and because the monitor is an open platform, it also works with Zwift, BKool and WodProof among others. Two D cells power it, and the flywheel recharges them while you ride.

It accepts standard bike parts, so you can fit your own saddle, handlebars, or pedals. The crank length is 170 mm, with a 15.5 cm Q factor. The standard seat gives a 30.75″ to 41″ seat-to-pedal range, and a low seat option covers 28.75″ to 38″, with a tall seat post available separately. The saddle raises a few notches without getting off, and the handlebars move up, down, forward, and back mid-ride.

The frame is welded aluminum on steel feet, driven by self-tensioning polygroove belts. It occupies 48″ x 24″ and Concept2 suggests 60″ x 48″ of clearance to ride. The maximum user weight is 350 lbs, and the machine weighs 68 lbs and has wheels for moving. It stores fully assembled, so it cannot be folded away. Concept2 offers a 30-day money-back guarantee along with a 2- and 5-year warranty.
